Mamman Daura, a nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, has been flown to the United Kingdom for urgent medical
treatment over an undisclosed ailment.

79-year-old Daura, was said to have been flown in a private jet to the UK on Wednesday, August 19, after he started experiencing respiratory difficulties with symptoms similar to Coronavirus since on Friday.

Mamman Daura, who is an integral member of the 'Cabal', a group of influential individuals around the President, who allegedly help him make key decisions, is reported to have had a history of renal crisis and had regularly visited the West for medical attention.

It would be recalled that earlier this month, Daura received some backlash and criticisms after he openly said that zoning of the Presidency in Nigeria should be thrown out for competence.

Speaking with the BBC Hausa, he said the zoning formula has failed Nigeria as a country and should be dropped and forgotten.
