The governor of Abia state, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has declared that he will appoint a King himself if Nnamdi
Kanu fails to come back and claim his throne.
Speaking to news men in Umuahia, the governor said;
“Afara Ibeku will not remain without a king after 21 days. I have decided to take the final decision as the executive Governor of Abia state!

“Nnamdi Kanu has done harms to Abia State. He is the reason I didn’t develop Abia and complete some of the projects I promised to do because each time I go to the FG to demand for money, they always tell me that my state is harboring Terrorists!
“Nnamdi committed offense and ran away before the unfortunate death of his father. Now it’s time to take decision. If after 21 days from now, he fails to come back and be crowned the king of Ibeku, I will have no option than to appoint a king myself and whoever I appoint must remain till I leave office!! I am the most powerful man in Abia, according to the Constitution and whatever decision I take must stand.”
The death of Nnamdi Kanu’s father, Eze Israel Kanu, was announced on December 6, 2019. He was the traditional ruler of Afara Ukwu Umuahia community till his death.
I don't think the governor has right to appoint a king in a community that has tradition and custom
ReplyDeleteU have the right to that if he don't want to come back
ReplyDeletePeople will shoose who will rule tham not the governor we have a custom..
ReplyDeleteThis man has lost it. So, because you failed to develop your state that's why you are looking for someone to blame. God is watching you.
ReplyDeleteBut I think his making a wise move
ReplyDeleteWhen Adam failed,he blamed Eve. It's a total sign of incompetence. How many times has Like gone to AbujA to beg for money? If kingship has bevbee a political appointment, go start from Ngwa. I rest my case.

ReplyDeleteIt is when you don't have something to offer that is when you start to look for who will offer you something, Kanu is not the one holding you from developing Abia.🚴🚴🚴
ReplyDeleteI don't think that a reasonable person can say this kind of tin,
