Recall that the state’s Governor, Hope Uzodinma, had on Tuesday, ordered a 24-hour curfew in the state to end the ongoing protest.

He revealed that the reason for the curfew, was to arrest the situation in order to avoid loss of lives and properties.
However, despite the curfew, protesters came out in their numbers in various locations of the state.
Confirming the incident, Ikeokwu Orlando, the police spokesperson in the state, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that no arrests have been made yet.
Orlando said;
“Yes I can confirm to you that the Nworieubi Police Division was set on fire this afternoon by hoodlums.
“No arrest has been made yet, but police authorities have opened investigation into the matter.”
The state’s Fire Service have been mobilised by the state government to quench the fire.
