It was gathered that the federal government promised to release the new set of repentant terrorists this November as the presidency celebrates its “technical” victory over Boko Haram.

Major-General John Enenche, the spokesperson for the Defence Headquarters, revealed that, this new set will be opportuned to travel outside the country on a scholarship to enable them to partake actively and contribute back to their immediate society.
He added that the DRR programme under Operation Safe Corridor had recorded tremendous success judging from the feedback from previous trainees.
It would be recalled that the lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume, had on Wednesday, expressed disappointment in the decision of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to rehabilitate repentant Boko Haram terrorists.

Ndume who has continuously opposed the rehabilitation of Boko Haram members noted that it was totally wrong for Nigeria to be pampering repentant terrorists while the country is still at war with terrorists.
